Within the framework of the international initiatives of the Founder of Peace and National Unity – Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Honorable Emomali Rahmon, on issues of climate, water, ecology, and glacier protection, the Majlisi Namoyandagon of the Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan, in conjunction with the Committee for Environmental Protection under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, announces a Republican contest on the topic:
"Glacier Protection - A Vital Factor for Securing a Bright Future for Humanity."
The contest consists of three categories:
Submission of materials for the contest begins on October 1st of this year and will end on May 1, 2026.
The contest will culminate on the eve of World Environment Day - June 5th - and the winners will be awarded diplomas, certificates, and memorable gifts in a ceremonial setting by the leadership of the Majlisi Namoyandagon of the Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Committee for Environmental Protection under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan. Memorable gifts will also be provided to active participants.
Materials submitted for the contest should reflect the implementation of several initiatives of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, honourable Emomali Rahmon, within the framework of national and international initiatives of our country, including:
Contest candidates must submit to the Contest Commission articles, films, television and radio programs, photographs, and images addressing glacier melting, atmospheric air and water source protection, greenhouse gas emission reduction, implementation of the principles of “green,” “digital,” and “circular” economy, and other climate change-related topics published in mass media.
Applicants are not limited by occupation or age category. Representatives of various professions, scientists and specialists, researchers, experts and journalists, students of secondary general education, vocational and higher education institutions, creative groups, and legal entities may participate in the contest.
Candidates may submit only one material per contest category.
Materials are accepted in three languages: Tajik, Russian, or English.
Applicants may participate by submitting an application to the Commission specifying their full name, place of work or study, address, phone number, email, and attaching relevant materials for the specific contest category.
Applicants must send their materials after publication in republican, regional, city, and district mass media to the email address of the Ecology Commission of the Majlisi Namoyandagon of the Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan: e.commission@mail.ru. The original should be sent to the following address: Rudaki Avenue 42, Dushanbe City.
