Deputies Shodiyon Muhammad and Sheralizoda Muhamadullo from the Majlisi Namoyandagon of the Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan are participating in the meeting of the Standing Committee of the Asian Parliamentary Assembly on Economy and Sustainable Development, which is being held in Manama, Kingdom of Bahrain, from September 13 to 17 this year.
The meeting is addressing the following issues: a review of draft resolutions on the establishment of an Asian Energy Market; environmental protection; financial matters and ensuring stability for economic development; eradicating poverty; the role of parliaments within the Asian Parliamentary Assembly in supporting the implementation of sustainable development goals; water and sanitation for all in Asia; and climate finance initiatives in Asia.
Decisions on the discussed issues are expected to be adopted upon the meeting's conclusion.
