Today, young girls participating in the OSCE School on Politics, Leadership, and Advocacy visited the new building of the Parliament of Tajikistan and were deeply impressed by what they saw.
It should be noted that, at the request of the Head of the OSCE Program Office in Tajikistan, and under the leadership of the Deputy Chairman of the Majlisi Namoyandagon of the Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan, a permanent working group called the “Alliance of Women of the Majlisi Namoyandagon of the Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan” was established this year. The Alliance consists of female deputies and staff of the Majlisi Namoyandagon Office. Its aim is to strengthen the role of women in the political and social life of the country and to promote their active participation in various symposiums and events related to gender issues, women's and girls' health, legislative development, and the overall advancement of women in society.
The establishment of this Alliance also provides an opportunity to enhance cooperation with women deputies from the parliaments of other countries, allowing for the exchange of best practices in legislation and encouraging the active involvement of women in political and social spheres.
During their visit, participants of the OSCE School had the opportunity to speak with several members of parliament, including Mujibakhon Javhari, Chairwoman of the Committee on Social Issues, Family, and Health Protection, Surayo Dustmurodzoda, Deputy Chairwoman of the Committee on International Affairs, Public Associations, and Information, Dilafruz Saidi, a member of the Committee on Power Engineering, Industry, Construction, and Communication and Naima Solizoda, a member of the Committee on Legislation and Human Rights. Their conversations provided valuable insights and inspiration to the young participants, emphasizing the importance of women's leadership in shaping the future of Tajikistan.
