The Chairman of the Majlisi Namoyandagon of the Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan, Fayzali Idizoda, addressed the attendees and noted that: “The National Unity holiday is truly an unprecedented achievement of the Tajik people, made possible thanks to the consistent and constructive efforts of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, the respected Leader of the Nation, Emomali Rahmon. During the difficult years of the imposed civil war, it was precisely the respected Emomali Rahmon, as a son of the great nation, who was able to act as a true Leader, unite the Tajik people, and save them from the brink of destruction through wise and farsighted policies.”
Next, the Deputy Chairwoman of the Majlisi Namoyandagon, Mavsumah Muinī, delivered a speech, emphasizing: “The phenomenon of national unity is not only one of the greatest achievements of the period of state independence of Tajikistan but also a manifestation of the firm will of the Tajik people on the path to ensuring stability, peace, and the integrity of the country. The modern history of Tajikistan shows that achieving national unity was not an easy path but the result of a proud struggle, continuous efforts, and far-sighted measures by the wise Leader, Founder of peace and national unity — President Emomali Rahmon.
For Tajikistan, national unity after the civil war became not only the foundation for the revival of the state and the stability of society but also a high spiritual and political value through which the culture of tolerance, mutual understanding, patriotism, and societal independence was strengthened. Today, it can be proudly said that the Tajik experience in peaceful conflict resolution has become an important contribution to global political science, inseparably linked to the labor and dedication of the wise Leader Emomali Rahmon.”
The Deputy Chairman of the Committee on Energy, Industry, Construction, and Communications, Saidzoda Firdavs, said in his speech: “The path to National Unity began with the historic and fateful 16th session of the Supreme Soviet of the Republic of Tajikistan. Amid complicated internal conflicts, a person came to lead the country who was able with courage, bravery, and wise policy to save the Tajik people from the fire and prevent destruction. This person is the son of the great nation, the savior of the nation, the respected Emomali Rahmon. The fate laid on the shoulders of this worthy and wise son of the nation outlined the future of the national state — Tajikistan — and laid firm first steps towards the national goals of peace, stability, building a democratic, lawful, secular state, a free civil society, a fair legal system, and the beginning of social and economic development programs, unity, and cohesion.”
In the speech of the Deputy Chairman of the Committee on Legislation and Human Rights, Imomzoda Nilufar, it was noted: “In a time of global complexity and instability, as well as the emergence of new threats, national unity has become not only the highest goal of the state but also a vital interest for the development of statehood. The Republic of Tajikistan, as a sovereign state, has an ancient history and rich cultural heritage. Therefore, the importance of unity and mutual understanding among all citizens is the guarantee for protecting national values and historical memory. The protection of the national interests of the Republic of Tajikistan as a sovereign and independent state is directly linked to ensuring peace, stability, and progress in the country.”
Member of the Committee on International Affairs, Public Associations, and Information, Komiljon Shamsherzoda, said in his speech: “The word ‘vahdat’ (unity) means unity, agreement, and harmony in thought and good deeds, on which the Founder of peace and national unity — the Leader of the Nation, President Emomali Rahmon — built the idea of national unity and political stability, uniting our virtuous people and saving it from disunity.” He emphasized that the deeds of this great statesman led the people from the dark night of hatred and enmity to the bright dawn of peace, happiness, and brotherhood, which is reflected in the works of poets, writers, politicians, and historians worldwide.
Member of the Committee on Economy and Finance, Nabotzoda Siyovush, also shared his thoughts on the scientific and philosophical aspects of national unity. He noted the outstanding role of the Founder of peace and national unity — the Leader of the Nation Emomali Rahmon — in achieving peace, unity, and harmony and called national unity an unprecedented achievement of the independence period.
At the conclusion of the event, the Chairman of the Majlisi Namoyandagon of the Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan, Fayzali Idizoda, emphasized that in a society where unity, mutual understanding, peace, stability, rule of law, and social order are ensured, human rights and freedoms will never be violated. Peace, tranquility, unity, and cohesion are the most valuable blessings of human life, and protecting them is the sacred duty of every citizen. Therefore, it is more important than ever to unite, preserve independence and national unity, and rally around the Head of State. He expressed confidence that on the path to achieving the good and constructive goals of the respected Leader of the Nation Emomali Rahmon, the unity of the Tajik people will be eternal.
