As previously reported, the Chairperson of the Majlisi Namoyandagon of the Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan, Faizali Idizoda, at the invitation of Lindsay Hoyle, Speaker of the House of Commons of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, made an official visit to London to participate in the meetings of the parliamentary delegations of the Majlisi Namoyandagon of the Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan and the House of Commons of the United Kingdom.
During this visit, Faizali Idizoda held a bilateral meeting with his counterpart Lindsay Hoyle, during which issues related to interparliamentary cooperation between the two countries were discussed.
It was emphasized that Tajikistan is very interested in the accelerated development of trustful relations with the United Kingdom across all areas of cooperation, including the expansion of interparliamentary ties. It was noted that interparliamentary cooperation occupies a special place in the interstate relations between Tajikistan and the United Kingdom, serving as a vivid example of an open, constructive, and substantive dialogue.
Faizali Idizoda also met with representatives of the relevant committees and groups of the UK Parliament and met with compatriots living in the United Kingdom.
