It was emphasized that thanks to the constructive initiatives of the high leadership of both countries — the President of the Republic of Tajikistan and Leader of the Nation, H.E. Emomali Rahmon, and the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, H.E. Masoud Pezeshkian — bilateral and multilateral relations between the countries are steadily developing and expanding.
The legal foundation of Tajikistan-Iran cooperation has significantly strengthened over the past 33 years, currently consisting of more than 240 international agreements and documents.
Tajikistan and Iran enjoy visible cooperation in various fields including politics, economy, trade, security, culture, and humanitarian affairs.
In recent years, there has been notable development of multifaceted international and unprecedented bilateral relations, particularly in interparliamentary cooperation, which is welcomed with satisfaction.
The activity of the friendship and cooperation groups of the Majlisi Namoyandagon with the Islamic Consultative Assembly of Iran (Majles) was considered important. Exchange of experience between the deputies of the two countries can contribute to the advancement of legislative work.
The Majlisi Namoyandagon is committed to the continued expansion of stable cooperation with the Islamic Consultative Assembly of Iran and will strive for progress in all areas.
