In preparation for the celebration of the 35th Anniversary of the State Independence of the Republic of Tajikistan, the “Clean Neighborhood” environmental campaign was held in the Shohmansur District of Dushanbe. The campaign was organized to promote a cleaner environment and maintain the cleanliness of residential neighborhoods and communities.
The campaign brought together employees of the Committee for Environmental Protection under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, active members of the Ecological Volunteers Club under the Chairman of Dushanbe, representatives of the Main Department of Environmental Protection, the departments of youth affairs and healthcare, as well as members of the public. During the event, the neighborhood was cleared of household and plastic waste, and 2.6 cubic meters of collected waste were transported to the city landfill.
It is worth noting that, in preparation for the national celebration and in accordance with the instructions of the Chairman of Dushanbe, similar environmental initiatives are held every week in residential neighborhoods across the capital. These activities aim to improve environmental conditions and raise public environmental awareness, and they will continue in the future.
Indeed, Dushanbe has witnessed renewed momentum in urban beautification, community development, and environmental improvement. Proud of being residents of the capital, citizens continue to make an active contribution to keeping their city clean, attractive, and environmentally sustainable.
