From July 17 to 20 of this year, high air temperatures will persist across the territory of the republic. Daytime temperatures in lowland areas will reach +41…+46°C, in foothill and mountainous areas +34…+39°C, and in the Darvoz district of the Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Region +39…+41°C.
Due to the rise in air temperature in the foothill and mountainous areas under republican jurisdiction, Sughd Region, and the western districts of the Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Region, there is a forecast risk of mudflows associated with glacier melting.
Due to the increase in air temperature, a rise in water levels is expected in the basins of the Panj, Zarafshan, and Vakhsh rivers.
