The Agency for Hydrometeorology under the Committee for Environmental Protection under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan informs that from July 15 to July 18, 2026, a significant increase in air temperature is forecast across the country. Daytime temperatures are expected to reach +41 to +46°C in the valley areas, +33 to +38°C in the foothill and mountainous regions, and +39 to +41°C in Darvoz District of the Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Region.
In addition, due to the rising temperatures, there is a forecast of an increased risk of glacier-induced mudflows in the foothill and mountainous areas of the Districts of Republican Subordination, Sughd Region, and the western districts of the Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Region.
The increase in air temperature is also expected to cause a rise in water levels in the basins of the Pyanj, Zarafshon, and Vakhsh rivers.

KHATLON REGION - Mostly clear and dry weather is expected. Easterly winds of 5-10 m/s. Air temperature: in the valleys +24 to +29°C at night and +41 to +46°C during the day; in the foothill areas +19 to +24°C at night and +33 to +38°C during the day.
SUGHD REGION - Partly cloudy and dry weather is expected. Easterly winds of 5-10 m/s, with gusts reaching 10-15 m/s in some areas. Air temperature: in the valleys +22 to +27°C at night and +38 to +43°C during the day; in the mountainous areas +10 to +15°C at night and +26 to +31°C during the day.
DISTRICTS OF REPUBLICAN SUBORDINATION - Partly cloudy and dry weather is expected. Easterly winds of 5–10 m/s. Air temperature: in the valleys +23 to +28°C at night and +38 to +43°C during the day; in the mountainous areas +15 to +20°C at night and +33 to +38°C during the day.
GORNO-BADAKHSHAN AUTONOMOUS REGION (GBAR) - Partly cloudy and dry weather is expected. Easterly winds of 5–10 m/s. Air temperature: in the western part of the region +16 to +21°C at night, locally up to +24 to +26°C, and +32 to +37°C during the day, locally up to +39 to +41°C; in the eastern part of the region +6 to +11°C at night and +20 to +25°C during the day.
