According to the Hydrometeorology Agency under the Committee for Environmental Protection, due to expected rainfall on June 17-18, local mudflows and flash floods are forecast in the foothill and mountainous districts under republican jurisdiction, as well as in the Khatlon and Sughd regions and the western part of the Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Region.
Citizens are advised to take precautionary measures and remain especially vigilant during these adverse weather conditions.
