A ceremonial meeting dedicated to June 5 - World Environment Day was held in the conference hall of the Main Department for Environmental Protection of the Sughd Region.
The event was attended by Loiq Rahmonzoda, Deputy Chairman of the Committee for Environmental Protection under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan; Saidimon Akbarov, representative of the regional Executive Authority; Jahongir Salimzoda, Chairman of the Executive Committee of the People's Democratic Party of Tajikistan in the region; Sulton Rahmonzoda, Director of the Regional State Sanitary and Epidemiological Surveillance Center; representatives of the Regional Department of Land Reclamation and Irrigation, the Regional Department of Education, the Regional Hydrometeorological Center, the Institute of Zoology and Parasitology of the National Academy of Sciences of Tajikistan, universities and institutes, public organizations, employees of environmental protection authorities in the region, industry veterans, media representatives, and other institutions and organizations.
Congratulatory speeches were delivered by the Deputy Chairman of the Committee for Environmental Protection, the representative of the regional Executive Authority, the Chairman of the regional Executive Committee of the People's Democratic Party of Tajikistan, the Director of the Regional State Sanitary and Epidemiological Surveillance Center, the Head of the Main Department for Environmental Protection of the Sughd Region, leaders and representatives of various organizations and institutions, as well as veterans of the sector. They congratulated the employees of the environmental protection authorities on their professional holiday.
During the event, active employees of the environmental protection authorities were awarded certificates of appreciation from the Executive Authority of the Sughd Region and the Executive Committee of the People's Democratic Party of Tajikistan in the region. Young specialists received party membership certificates. In addition, heads of enterprises and organizations, representatives of universities and institutes, and media representatives were honored with certificates of appreciation from the Main Department for Environmental Protection of the Sughd Region.
