On May 16 of the current year, members of the Eco-volunteers club of the Committee for Environmental Protection, supported by the initiative of the “Environmental Volunteers” club under the Chairman of the city of Dushanbe, actively participated in an environmental cleanup campaign held on Sadriddin Aini, Zebunisso, and Mirzobek streets.
The environmental campaign was also attended by staff of the Main department for environmental protection of the city of Dushanbe, the tourism and ecology unit of the city police, representatives of the education sector, youth organizations, and other relevant structures. During the event, roadside areas, surroundings of residential buildings, children’s playgrounds, drainage channels, and culverts were cleaned of waste.
The participants demonstrated a high sense of responsibility and made a significant contribution to maintaining environmental cleanliness, improving urban culture, and beautifying the capital city of Dushanbe.
In the second half of the day, a volunteer conference on the topic “Volunteering – a path to goodness and service to society” was held in the conference hall of the Tajik National University.
The event was attended by members of the Eco-volunteers club of the Committee, staff of the Main department for environmental protection of Dushanbe, as well as other volunteers and representatives of various organizations and sectors.
