Within the framework of the Regional Environmental Summit in Astana, a high-level plenary session was held on the topic: “The Initiative of Central Asian Countries - Harmony with Nature for the Benefit of Sustainable Development of the Region.”
The session brought together representatives of Central Asian countries, international organizations, and development partners to launch a joint regional initiative for biodiversity conservation.
A key milestone was the signing of the Regional Cooperation Declaration aimed at strengthening collaboration and implementing coordinated measures in the field of environmental protection and the sustainable use of natural resources.
The document provides for the development of an umbrella program, an action plan, and resource mobilization mechanisms within the framework of international environmental agreements.
The implementation of the initiative will contribute to strengthening regional cooperation, conserving biodiversity, and promoting sustainable development in Central Asia.
