In order to reduce pollutant emissions into the atmosphere, the “Clean Air” operation is being conducted in the cities and districts of the Sughd Region in accordance with the work plan of the Main Department for Environmental Protection. The operation is carried out in cooperation with officers of the Environmental and Tourism Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan in the Sughd Region.
During the operation, 124 vehicles of various makes were subjected to technical inspection, during which the level of pollutant emissions into the atmosphere was measured.
As a result, for violations of state standards and exceeding the permissible emission limits, administrative offense reports were drawn up against 29 drivers and forwarded to the traffic police departments of the respective cities and districts for appropriate action.
