Within the framework of implementing the constructive policy and instructions of the Founder of Peace and National Unity - the Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon, as well as in accordance with the Resolution of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan dated June 29, 2024, No. 374 “On the State Program for Greening the Republic of Tajikistan until 2040,” tree planting and greening have become a nationwide campaign across the country. In all parts of our homeland, tree planting and beautification activities are regularly carried out in the form of collective community efforts and these activities continue to expand.
Undoubtedly, the main essence of this campaign is to foster love for the Motherland and nature and its goal is to raise the environmental awareness of every citizen.
In order to strengthen efforts in this direction and mobilize the population to participate in this campaign, the Chairman of Asht District, Mr. Shukhrat Muhammadzoda, together with representatives of the district’s executive state authority, heads of organizations and institutions, and activists, took part in a collective tree-planting event involving evergreen saplings in the district center - Shaydon settlement, at the roundabout of Jabbor Rasulov Street.
It should be noted that in all jamoats of towns and rural settlements, organizations and institutions, enterprises regardless of ownership and management form, as well as in streets, neighborhoods, and villages of the district, there is significant activity and participation of labor collectives, the public and local residents in this campaign.
According to the data of the district environmental protection department, as of March 14 of the current year, a total of 53,033 shade, evergreen, ornamental, and fruit tree saplings have been planted across the jamoats of towns and rural settlements, which represents 110.5% of the planned target. The work is ongoing.
