With the aim of strengthening state control over the rational use of natural resources, preventing violations in the field of environmental protection, and ensuring compliance with the requirements of current legislation, inspectors of the Department of State Control over the Use and Protection of Flora, Fauna, and Fish Resources of the Committee for Environmental Protection, together with environmental authorities of cities and districts of the Rasht region, conducted an operational activity.
During the measures, the condition of natural resource use, compliance with environmental protection rules, and prevention of violations were inspected in the territories of the Lakhsh, Tajikabad, and Rasht districts.
As a result of the operational activity, administrative protocols were drawn up against 13 individuals for committing administrative offenses. These violations mainly included illegal hunting of partridge, storage and transportation of fish during the prohibited spawning period, as well as uprooting of medicinal plants.
It should be noted that, in accordance with the order of the Chairman of the Committee for Environmental Protection under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, during the fish spawning period, the catching, storage, transportation, and sale of fish resources are temporarily prohibited.
At the same time, awareness-raising activities were conducted among citizens and users of natural resources regarding the importance of protecting flora and fauna, the rational use of natural resources, and compliance with environmental legislation.
The Committee for Environmental Protection emphasizes that such activities will continue in other regions of the country, and necessary measures will be implemented to protect the environment and preserve biodiversity.
