On March 14, 2026, on the initiative of the Environmental Protection Department of Varzob District, and within the framework of implementing the state environmental policy, fulfilling the National Climate Change Adaptation Strategy, and the State Greening Program, as well as in connection with the declaration of 2026 as the “Year of Expanding Improvement and Construction Efforts, Strengthening National Consciousness and Self-Knowledge,” environmental campaigns “Cleanliness of the Area,” “Cleanliness of the Road,” “Cleanliness of the Shore” and a tree-planting campaign were conducted.
The event took place on the hills of the Varzob Qala rural jamoat, in the village of Shaftimidzhgon, Varzob District, with the participation of the district chairman, representatives of executive authorities, relevant officials, and over 130 local residents.
During the event, more than 50 juniper seedlings were planted in accordance with agronomic requirements, and necessary measures were taken to ensure their further care and growth. The event was covered by television channels.
