On March 13 of this year, a tree-planting campaign was held in the territory of the Dahana rural municipality of Yavan District, Khatlon Region. The event was organized within the framework of the State Program for Greening the Republic of Tajikistan until 2040 and its Action Plan for 2025 - 2027. The main goal was to promote environmental greening, improve ecological conditions, and enhance the beautification of rural areas.
The event was attended by the Deputy Chairman of the Committee for Environmental Protection under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, Loiq Rahmonzoda, the Deputy Chairman of Yavan District, the Head of the Main Department of Environmental Protection in Khatlon Region, as well as sector employees and other responsible officials.
During the campaign, 400 juniper saplings were planted, making a significant contribution to expanding green areas and improving the surrounding environment. At the same time, the “Clean Area” initiative was held in the Dahana rural municipality , where participants actively took part in cleaning the surroundings, collecting waste, and improving the environmental condition of the area.
This event is a vivid example of cooperation between government authorities and the local community in promoting an environmentally friendly lifestyle and protecting the environment.
