On February 28 of the current year, landscaping and tree-planting activities continued in Ayni District. In particular, another tree-planting campaign was held in Zarafshon-2 settlement of the Zarafshon jamoat. The event was attended by the district chairman, Ravshan Rahimzoda, along with active local residents, who contributed to improving the environmental condition and beautification of the area.
With the support of the district Department of Environmental Protection, 500 conifer saplings - thuja and juniper - were allocated for the campaign. Participants enthusiastically engaged in planting the trees, contributing to the enhancement of the local ecological environment.
It is worth noting that these initiatives are being implemented within the framework of the “State Program for Greening of the Republic of Tajikistan for the Period up to 2040.” The program was developed and adopted based on the instructions and directives of the Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon, as outlined in his Address to the Majlisi Oli on December 28, 2023.
On the same day, 2,000 elm saplings were planted in the Dashti Pohuti area of the Rarz rural jamoat. In addition, the personnel of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan in the district planted 400 fruit tree saplings - apple and apricot - on the lands of the department’s subsidiary farm.
