In order to ensure compliance with environmental protection legislation and to prevent pollution of water sources, sectoral inspectors conducted a regular monitoring operation in the city of Vahdat.
During the operation, cases of violations related to the improper use of water resources and environmental pollution were identified. In particular, Tojiddinov Muhammadi Muzaffarovich was engaged in unauthorized drilling of a water well near a newly constructed multi - storey residential building located on Ismoili Somoni Street in Vahdat without obtaining an official permit. Such actions constitute a violation of the law and may also lead to a decrease in groundwater levels and negatively affect the ecological balance.
In connection with the identified violation, an administrative protocol has been drawn up against Mr. Tojiddinov in accordance with Article 179 of the Code of Administrative Offences of the Republic of Tajikistan, and the case is currently under review.
The Committee for Environmental Protection under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan calls on all citizens to use natural resources responsibly and to contribute to environmental protection.
