On February 26, 2026, members of the Eco-Journalists and Eco-Volunteers Club visited the tree nursery of the Committee for Environmental Protection under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan in the city of Vahdat.
During the visit, they familiarized themselves with the nursery’s activities, as well as the process of cultivating and maintaining seedlings. It was reported that the nursery was established in 2025 on an area of 5 hectares and currently cultivates more than 25,000 seedlings.
The nursery grows over 15 species of ornamental and shade trees intended for landscaping and beautification of cities and districts across the country.
The nursery serves as an important base for supplying seedlings for tree-planting campaigns and plays a significant role in improving the environmental situation and expanding green areas.
