The Committee for Environmental Protection organized a training event this year as part of the activities of the «Eco-Educational Center for Nature Enthusiasts» and the «Environmental Volunteer Club»
The event was held in cooperation with the public organization «Alphabet of Nature of Tajikistan» and aimed primarily to cultivate a responsible attitude toward nature among adolescents.
The session was attended by students from the Agricultural and Medical Universities of Tajikistan, as well as new members of the Eco-Volunteers Club from Lyceum No. 3 for Gifted Students in Dushanbe.
Volunteers were provided with materials and demonstrations on topics including: the importance of the Red Book of Tajikistan for biodiversity conservation, the role of the NGO HTMM in bird protection, the activities of the Tajikistan Birders Club, identifying birds of Tajikistan, the eBird, platform, the «One Health» approach to nature protection, as well as information from the NGO HTMM, the newspaper «Human and Nature,» and the public organization «Alphabet of Nature of Tajikistan.»
A special corner of the hall featured an exhibition of birdwatching equipment. During the Q&A session, volunteers received answers to their questions from the lecturers.
