On January 31, 2026, the Sada festival was solemnly celebrated with special splendor and grandeur in the Abulqosim Firdousi Park of Culture and Recreation in the city of Dushanbe. The event was attended by the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tajikistan, Sulaymon Rizoi Ziyozoda, the Chairman of the Committee for Environmental Protection under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, Bahodur Ahmadjon Sheralizoda, as well as representatives of other ministries and government agencies of the republic.
As part of the event, alongside ministries and government bodies, organizations, and institutions, the achievements of the Committee for Environmental Protection under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan were presented. In particular, environmental awareness materials, drawings, and illustrative displays were showcased, highlighting initiatives related to water and climate, the unique natural landscapes of the country’s mountainous regions, including water resources and glaciers, rare wildlife species, as well as specialized equipment and mobile laboratories of the Agency for Hydrometeorology used to monitor atmospheric air conditions and glaciers, along with other sectoral achievements.
At the exhibition, in addition to the lighting of the traditional Sada festive bonfire, presentations of folk crafts, and other cultural elements, evergreen saplings, decorative flowers, and ornamental shrubs aimed at improving the environmental landscape were displayed and offered for sale, as well as other environmentally friendly products.
Sada is one of the most ancient festivals of our ancestors and, thanks to state independence, is celebrated at the national level with its distinctive features and traditions. This practice contributes to a broader international recognition and presentation of our country.
