According to the Agency for Hydrometeorology of the Committee for Environmental Protection under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, adverse weather conditions are forecast in several regions of the country on 22 January 2026.
Official reports indicate that heavy snowfall is expected in the city of Dushanbe, surrounding areas, and most regions of the republic. In mountainous areas, mountain passes, and high-altitude roads, heavy snow, dense fog, icy conditions, snowdrifts, and reduced visibility are likely, which may significantly complicate traffic conditions.
In this regard, citizens, especially drivers planning travel to mountainous areas or through mountain passes, are advised to postpone trips if possible, check road conditions and weather forecasts in advance, and strictly observe traffic safety regulations.
Relevant authorities are taking necessary measures to prevent emergency situations and ensure public safety.
