On 25 January 2025, in accordance with the instructions and directives of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation, His Excellency Emomali Rahmon, and with the aim of implementing the State Programme for Greening of the Republic of Tajikistan until 2040, more than 500 decorative pine saplings were planted on Dehoti Street. The initiative was carried out by the Committee for Environmental Protection, the Executive Body of State Authority of the city of Dushanbe, and the German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ), within the framework of cooperation with development partners and strengthening friendship between Tajikistan and Germany.
The planting of the saplings was conducted under the supervision of sectoral specialists in compliance with established agrotechnical requirements.
It should be noted that, within the framework of implementing the instructions of the Chairman of the National Assembly of the Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan and Chairman of the city of Dushanbe, His Excellency Rustam Emomali, aimed at transforming the capital into a green and flourishing city, large-scale tree-planting campaigns are carried out annually in accordance with approved plans, with the active participation of organizations and institutions, members of the public, and individual citizens.
