During a regular inspection operation in the field of wildlife protection in the territory of Navobod-2 village, Nofaroch rural jamoat of the city of Istaravshan, an administrative offence report was drawn up against two citizens for the illegal capture of a songbird — the goldfinch — in accordance with the requirements of Article 44 of the Law of the Republic of Tajikistan “On Environmental Protection” and Article 223 of the Code of Administrative Offences of the Republic of Tajikistan.
The Committee for Environmental Protection calls on all citizens of the country to refrain from such illegal actions, as appropriate measures will be taken against violators in accordance with the law.
On the contrary, showing a sense of patriotism and love for nature, during the winter season people should feed the country’s rare animals and protect them from extinction.
