Dear colleagues,
Every nation has its own state symbols, which are regarded as sacred elements of its national identity. The national flag is one of the foremost sacred symbols of every state and people, representing the country's national image on the world stage. Such symbols require each of us to show special respect and proper conduct. To honor and protect the National Flag means to honor and protect the Homeland, our families and children, as well as the history and traditions of our people and country.
In the Republic of Tajikistan, after gaining state independence, the National Flag was adopted on 24 November 1992. For 33 years now, the National Flag of the Republic of Tajikistan, with its radiant appearance, has symbolized the existence of the ancient Tajik nation. Independent Tajikistan, under the leadership of our wise and proactive Leader — the Founder of Peace and National Unity, Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, His Excellency Emomali Rahmon - and under the national flag, confidently and honorably takes steady steps toward a bright future.
The National Flag is our pride, our honor, and our dignity, and our attitude toward it must always be respectful and careful. Indeed, the flag holds a special place and plays an important role in statehood, in official, governmental, cultural, and sporting events, in international relations, and in the daily lives of each member of society. When the flag of our independent state is raised at sporting and cultural events, we are filled with a profound sense of patriotism.
With these sincere wishes, I heartily congratulate the employees and specialists of the Committee and its subdivisions, as well as all admirers and protectors of the unique nature of our country, on the Day of the Adoption of the National Flag, and I wish you, above all, good health, prosperity, peace of mind, and further success in your professional activities.
May the national flag of our country always fly high, and may the honorable people of Tajikistan always remain proud and dignified under the banner of patriotism and national pride.
