The Center for Implementation of Investment Projects of the Committee for Environmental Protection under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, within the framework of the Secretariat of the Basel, Rotterdam, and Stockholm Conventions’ pilot project “Plastic Waste Management in Specially Protected Natural Areas,” held an informational and educational event for tourists, along with a public environmental campaign involving local residents, industry workers, and visitors to the Romit Biosphere Reserve.
The event, aimed at increasing understanding of the importance of environmental protection, fostering responsible behavior, and improving the overall health of the ecosystem within the reserve, served as an important step toward achieving the project's objectives.
