In accordance with the cooperation plan between the Main Department of Environmental Protection of Sughd Region and the Public Organization “Youth Group on Environmental Protection” the Aarhus Center in Khujand, and within the framework of the requirements of the action plan for the implementation of the “State Comprehensive Program for the Development of Environmental Education and Awareness of the Population of the Republic of Tajikistan for 2021-2025,” a two-day training event was held at the Training Center of the National Bank in the city of Guliston for 32 teachers from general education institutions of cities and districts of the region representatives of 17 target schools and Centers for Additional Education, as well as 15 schools where the youth movement “Green Observers” operates.
The program of the event included the effective use of the updated “Training Guide on Environmental Supplementary Education,” the introduction of interactive teaching methods, and participation in environmental initiatives.
During the event, participants became familiar with the updated “Training Guide on Environmental Supplementary Education” and also received information on issues related to its implementation in the teaching and educational process, improving skills in interactive teaching of environmental topics, studying the experience of partner development organizations, developing calendar plans for elective classes taking local characteristics into account, preparing participants for the “Best Green Observers Teacher” competition in 2026, and other planned topics.
