Friends and nature lovers of our country!
On November 6, 1994, for the first time in the modern history of the Tajik state, the Constitution of the Republic of Tajikistan was adopted through a nationwide referendum. This year, the 31st anniversary of this historic day for our nation is being celebrated throughout the country with a sense of pride in our independence and complete freedom.
The Constitution is a historical document that defines the foundations of the state system in political, economic, and social terms. It deeply reflects the relationship between the state and the individual, freedom of speech, conscience, behavior, and actions of every citizen. As the fundamental law, the Constitution establishes the legal basis for the progress of society through the adoption of new laws, regulates various social relations, and contributes to their further development and improvement.
Indeed, the adoption of the Constitution of independent Tajikistan, as well as the amendments and additions to it, became possible thanks to the initiative, labor, and efforts of the Founder of Peace and National Unity - the Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, respected Emomali Rahmon. In particular, his proposals and activities played a decisive role in key issues such as building a democratic, legal, and secular state, guaranteeing human rights and freedoms, adopting the Constitution through a nationwide vote, strengthening its provisions through timely amendments, organizing and improving the system of state bodies, and ensuring their effective functioning. Thus, the respected Leader of the Nation, Emomali Rahmon, is the founder of the most important principles of the Constitution of independent Tajikistan.
Every citizen is obliged to comply with the norms of the Constitution and the requirements of the law, and to respect them, because ensuring the rule of law and public order is the best indicator of a cultured and responsible society, as well as the most important condition for peace, stability, and the development of all spheres of public and state life, and the well-being of the citizens of the country.
I am confident that the employees of the Committee and the entire sector will continue to make a worthy contribution to fulfilling this sacred state task.
