In the modern era, environmental issues, the protection of nature, and challenges related to the increasing amount of waste and its timely disposal are becoming ever more pressing. As repeatedly emphasized in the annual addresses of the Founder of Peace and National Unity — Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, His Excellency Emomali Rahmon, to the Parliament of the country, special attention is given to matters of urban improvement, cleanliness, and the preservation of environmental safety.
Recently, in accordance with the instructions of the Chairman of the Committee for Environmental Protection under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, and with the aim of improving the ecological situation, maintaining cleanliness in settlements, jamoats, and along highways, as well as ensuring the timely removal of waste, the Main Department of Environmental Protection of Sughd Region purchased ten electric mopeds. These vehicles were handed over to the municipal enterprises “Sanitation Transport Service” in the cities and districts of Khujand, Guliston, Spitamen, Jabbor Rasulov, Asht, Devashtich, and Bobojon Ghafurov.
This initiative represents another step in the implementation of the state’s environmental policy and the introduction of electric transport, which will contribute to improving the sanitary and ecological conditions and ensuring environmental cleanliness.
