On October 22, 2025, a regular meeting of the Public Council of the Republic of Tajikistan was held at the Kamoliddin Behzod National Museum of Tajikistan, with the participation of most of its members, on the topic “The Role of Public Institutions in the Field of Environmental Protection and Historical and Cultural Heritage Preservation.”
Speakers delivered reports on the issues included in the meeting’s agenda, followed by a discussion in the concluding part.
At the meeting, the First Deputy Chairman of the Committee for Environmental Protection under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, Isfandiyor Shukurzoda, delivered a report on the role of public institutions in addressing environmental issues.
In particular, he emphasized that public institutions can establish a strong link between the state and the population and play an important role in implementing environmental policy, enhancing environmental awareness among citizens, and promoting the rational use and protection of natural resources.
