Meeting of the Chairman of the Committee with the Executive Secretary of the United Nations Economic Commission
Meeting of the Chairman of the Committee for Environmental Protection with the Executive Secretary of the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe on October 13, 2025, at the Committee for Environmental Protection under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, a meeting was held between the Chairman of the Committee, Bahodur Sheralizoda, and the Executive Secretary of the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe, Ms. Tatiana Molcean.
At the beginning of the meeting, Mr. Bahodur Sheralizoda welcomed Ms. Tatiana Molcean to the Republic of Tajikistan and noted that the country is always open to expanding cooperation in the field of environmental protection.
During the meeting, the parties discussed issues of bilateral cooperation, the implementation of the State Program for the Development of Environmental Awareness and Culture for 2026–2030, the harmonization of environmental standards with international norms and the implementation of the United Nation Resolution on the International Year of Glacier Preservation – 2025. In this context, the parties discussed the preparation of a regional expedition and a report for the upcoming international conference, as well as support for the activities of the Regional Waste Management Center in Dushanbe.
At the conclusion of the meeting, both sides expressed their readiness to strengthen practical bilateral cooperation and to implement joint projects in the field of environmental protection.
