Using the recommendations and scientifically based developments of experts in the field, the Vakhsh Experimental Station of Soil Science and Land Reclamation has been carrying out activities to restore the reclamation status of lands that had been withdrawn from agricultural use. As a result, more than 4 hectares of previously abandoned land have been brought back into agricultural production.
On this land, sorghum for green livestock fodder was sown on May 8, 2026, and the crop was successfully harvested on July 7, 2026.
These activities contribute to achieving one of the key strategic goals of the Republic of Tajikistan—ensuring food security. They also demonstrate the practical effectiveness of implementing the scientific achievements of the researchers at the Vakhsh Experimental Station of Soil Science and Land Reclamation in restoring and returning previously unused land to productive agricultural use.
