It should be noted that, in preparation for the nationwide celebration of the 35th Anniversary of the State Independence of the Republic of Tajikistan, special attention is being paid not only to the development of key sectors of society—including culture, the economy, social welfare, and spiritual life—but also to the advancement of national science. In this context, as part of intergovernmental working visits, delegations of foreign scientists and agricultural experts regularly visit the Republic of Tajikistan.
One such productive scientific meeting, dedicated to the exchange of experience and the development of agricultural science, was held this morning at the Academy of Agricultural Sciences of Tajikistan under the leadership of its President, Professor Salimzoda Amonullo Fayzullo. The meeting was attended by the directors of the Institute of Soil Science and Agrochemistry and the Institute of Horticulture and Viticulture, as well as Mr. Yang Sixiong, representative of Shaanxi Pingo Group (People's Republic of China), together with his accompanying delegation.
During the meeting, and as part of their first visit to Tajikistan, the Chinese delegation became acquainted with the country's experience in modern horticulture, particularly with technologies for the cultivation of apples and citrus fruits. The guests also visited the Centralized Soil and Plant Diagnostic Laboratory of the Institute of Soil Science and Agrochemistry, which is equipped with state-of-the-art analytical equipment.
During the discussions, it was emphasized that Chinese scientists, like their Tajik counterparts, regard the close integration of science and agricultural production as one of the key drivers of agricultural development. The Chinese side expressed its readiness to establish broad scientific cooperation with Tajik agricultural scientists, including specialists in soil science, in the near future.
