It is a source of great pride that Tirgon, alongside other national festivals of the Tajik people, is celebrated every year with special grandeur and solemnity. During the years of state independence, this ancient festival gained new significance through the initiative of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, His Excellency Emomali Rahmon. It was revived while preserving its ancient rituals, traditions, and customs. This morning, a ceremonial celebration dedicated to Tirgon was held at the Iram Cultural and Recreation Park in Dushanbe.
It was noted that Tirgon is one of the oldest festivals of the Tajik people. The festival symbolizes abundance, the harvesting of the first agricultural crops, the preservation of the noble traditions of our ancestors, and respect for national and cultural values.
In addition, the event featured exhibitions of various agricultural crops and scientific achievements. Guests and participants also enjoyed a cultural program that included patriotic songs and musical performances, creating a festive and joyful atmosphere.
