The “Karsang” Base of Fayzobod District is considered one of the scientific research stations of the institute. At this site, scientists and specialists continuously conduct research on soil protection against erosion, methods of conserving and accumulating natural soil moisture in rainfed conditions, using mulching techniques and the cultivation of autumn and spring cereal crops.
With the support of the Head of the Academy of Agricultural Sciences of Tajikistan, Professor Amonullo Salimzoda, an intensive orchard was established on 1 hectare of land belonging to this base.
As the head of the base Abdullo Asadullozoda noted, the orchard trees mainly consist of the best varieties of apple trees, and in order to ensure efficient use of every plot of land, tomatoes and bell peppers are cultivated between the rows.
In order to become familiar with the progress of the work carried out so far, the director of the institute Bobohoniyon Zebiniso visited this station.
