During the working visit of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation, Honorable Emomali Rahmon, to the cities and districts of the Sughd Region, the leadership of the Academy of Agricultural Sciences of Tajikistan, scientists and specialists of the Institute of Soil Science and Agrochemistry, as well as staff of the Regional Experimental Soil and Melioration Station in the Sughd Region took part in the cotton sowing campaign on the lands of the “Mirkhond” dehkan farm in Mastchoh district, which was initiated by the Head of State.
During his ознакомление (familiarization) with the progress of agricultural work, the Leader of the Nation gave farmers and agricultural producers of the region necessary and useful recommendations on the effective and rational use of land, compliance with agrotechnical rules, selection of high-quality seeds, and increasing crop yields.
The President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Honorable Emomali Rahmon, emphasized that the development of agriculture, particularly cotton production, is one of the key directions for ensuring food security and the country’s economic growth. To achieve high results in this agricultural sector, as noted by the Head of State, all scientists, specialists, and agricultural producers need to make broad use of all available opportunities, since only in this way it is possible to obtain several desired harvests from a single plot of land.
