It should be noted that on February 23, 1993, a military parade was held for the first time with the participation of units from the newly established armed formations at Dusti Square in the capital. Since then, the Day of the Establishment of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Tajikistan has been officially declared a national holiday, and today we solemnly celebrate its 33rd anniversary.
Thanks to the tireless efforts and selfless work of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Tajikistan, Founder of Peace and National Unity — Leader of the Nation, esteemed Emomali Rahmon, in cooperation with officers and soldiers, and despite numerous economic and financial difficulties, special attention was given from the very first stages of the Armed Forces’ formation to the modernization and reconstruction of infrastructure, as well as to the establishment of specialized military units. Alongside equipping the structures of the Ministry of Defense with modern equipment and technology, particular emphasis was placed on training highly qualified military personnel abroad.
It is worth noting that during the difficult years of post-civil war confrontation and amid the escalation of regional and global tensions, officers and soldiers of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Tajikistan faithfully fulfilled their patriotic duty to the state and the nation, and they continue today to honorably uphold their military oath.
With deep respect in these joyful moments, on the occasion of the 33rd anniversary of the Day of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Tajikistan — celebrated as a symbol of courage, resilience, and self-sacrifice of true sons of the Fatherland — we extend our congratulations to every officer and soldier, as well as to all the valiant servicemen of our Motherland, and express our sincere gratitude for safeguarding the nation’s borders and ensuring stability and security in society.
