MEETING WITH THE DELEGATION OF THE GERMAN MINERAL RESOURCES AGENCY (DERA)
A bilateral meeting was held at the Service for State Supervision of Safe Conduct of Work in Industry and Mining with a delegation of experts from the German Mineral Resources Agency (DERA) and the Federal Institute for Geosciences and Natural Resources (BGR), with the participation of a representative from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan. The meeting was attended on behalf of the Service by the First Deputy Head of the Service A.A. Mirzozoda, the Deputy Head of the Service O.A. Aslonzoda, and heads of sectoral inspections. The German delegation was represented by high-level experts: Viktoria Tremareva, Senior Geologist at DERA and Head of the Central Asia Unit at BGR, and Sonja Bahrun, Senior Geologist at DERA and Head of the Critical Raw Materials Act (CRMA) Implementation Unit at BGR.
During the negotiations, the supervisory mandates of the Service in the field of industrial and mining safety were presented, the experience of past joint educational and technical projects with BGR during 2017–2021 was highly appreciated, and both sides expressed their readiness to continue fruitful cooperation.
