On May 12, 2026, a bilateral meeting was held at the Service with a Japanese delegation led by Hosi Koji, Deputy Director of the Natural Resources Department of the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry of Japan, Suzuki Ryota, an official of the said Ministry, and Kariya Taku, Project Director of the Japan Organization for Metals and Energy Security (JOGMEC). The meeting was attended on behalf of the Service by First Deputy Head Mirzozoda A.A., Deputy Head Aslonzoda O.A., and heads of sectoral inspections.
During the meeting, the Japanese side provided insights into the activities of the Japan Organization for Metals and Energy Security, the growing global market demand for mineral raw materials, and expressed their keen interest in investing in Tajikistan's mining industry.
Mirzozoda A.A., First Deputy Head of the Service, delivered a speech highlighting the core mandates of the agency, its regulatory authority in state supervision, and the Service's readiness to expand technical cooperation with the Japanese counterpart.
