On 9 October, a ceremonial welcoming ceremony for the President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin, was held in the square in front of the “Kokhi Millat”, prepared for the state visit of the high-ranking guest.
The President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation, His Excellency Emomali Rahmon, warmly welcomed the President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin, and invited him to the honorary podium.
The ceremony included the report of the commander of the honor guard to the distinguished guest, the performance of the national anthems of both countries, the inspection of the honor guard, paying respects to the State Flag of Tajikistan, and the introduction of the official delegations of both sides.
The solemn ceremony concluded with a joint march and the parade of honor guard units in front of the two heads of state.
