In the pursuit of knowledge and enlightenment, in raising children and developing the Motherland, the role of mothers is unique."
Considering the valuable and significant role of women and mothers in the political, economic, social, and cultural life of the country, the Government of Tajikistan places ensuring their rights and interests as a priority of its policy.
As emphasized by the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, respected Emomali Rahmon:
"Mother is the light of the hearth, the sun of happiness and well-being of children, the source of love and care in society. Supporting women, raising their status, and ensuring decent living conditions for them are priority directions of state policy and government."
Woman-Mother is the source and creator of life, a symbol of purity and beauty, a repository of love and loyalty, a living embodiment of love and sincerity. It is very symbolic that Mother’s Day is celebrated in the first days of nature’s awakening, with the fragrance and freshness of spring, and on the eve of the International Navruz. Spring and woman are both symbols of the revival of life, joy, and hopes. Woman-Mother, like spring, leads the world toward light and happiness with love, care, and prayers. The meaning and beauty of life for every person begins with the love of mother, sister, and woman. This love, in which kindness and selflessness are embedded, illuminates the world with light."
