Today, April 2, 2026, the district-level contest "Best Housewife" (Kadbonui Behtarin) was held at a high level in the Shamsiddin Shohin district. The event was attended by representatives of the Executive Body of State Power and relevant local authorities.
The event was launched with the aim of reviving and developing national traditions, enhancing the culinary and housekeeping skills of women, and promoting the Tajik culture of table setting (dastarkhan).
During the ceremony, officials emphasized that the contest contributes to:
The revival and development of national traditions;
Improving family education and values;
Promoting the culture of festive table decoration;
The expansion of traditional folk crafts.
Throughout the competition, participants demonstrated their skills in preparing national dishes, decorating festive tables, and presenting the richness of Tajik culture.
