On October 1, 2026, a solemn ceremony to bid farewell to new recruits joining the Armed Forces of the Republic of Tajikistan was held at the district Palace of Culture.
It is worth noting that every year, alongside other courageous young people of the country, young men from Shamsiddin Shohin District proudly take on the responsibility of defending the borders and territorial integrity of their homeland.
During his congratulatory speech, the Chairman of the district, respected Gulzoda Zafar Shamsuddin, praised the brave, determined and courageous young men of the district who were among the first to appear at the military commissariats to fulfill their military service.
It was emphasized that the Armed Forces of the Republic of Tajikistan are an important achievement of the period of the country's independence and a key factor in strengthening national statehood. During the years of independence, the National Army has been gradually improved and strengthened, developing the capacity to reliably protect the country, maintain its security and ensure public peace. Year by year, conditions for military service in the units of the Armed Forces have improved, while new and modern infrastructure with all necessary facilities continues to be built.
In his speech, the Chairman of the district noted that the existence of the Armed Forces is one of the fundamental pillars of statehood and an important factor in strengthening independence and national unity, peace and stability, as well as progress, prosperity, development and construction.
As part of the celebrations dedicated to Conscription Day, several recruits delivered speeches and shared their views.
On the same day, 30 recruits who had participated in short-term driver training courses were presented with driving licences.
In the final part of the event, in order to raise the morale of the new recruits and as part of the celebrations of “Conscription Day,” cultural workers of the district presented a colourful cultural programme for the participants.
