The district chairman, Mr. Gulzoda Zafar Shamsuddin, congratulated the participants and residents on National Flag Day, noting the history of the State Flag. He emphasized that the origin of the flag is rooted in over six thousand years of Tajik statehood, and that the story of “Kava the Blacksmith” by Hakim Ferdowsi marks the beginning of flag-bearing in the world. Ancient Tajik sources contain interesting references to the reverence for the Kava Banner and the symbolic colors of the flag.
The process of state-building in Tajikistan began precisely from this historic session, making this event a great and historic celebration for the honorable people of Tajikistan.
The ceremonial gathering continued with songs, musical performances, and literary compositions by the district’s artists, celebrating independence and freedom, national unity, rich culture and civilization, and the beloved homeland.
