In accordance with the plan of events of the Executive Authority of the Shamsiddin Shohin District dedicated to the President's Day and the 16th Session of the Supreme Council of the Republic of Tajikistan, a round table was held.
The event was attended by the district chairman, Mr. Gulzoda Zafar Shamsuddin, his deputies, the head of the chairman’s office, staff members, and structural units of the district’s executive authority.
During the speeches, the participants recalled the unprecedented services of the Great Leader of the Nation, respected Emomali Rahmon, noting that the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Mr. Emomali Rahmon, has played an unparalleled role in strengthening state independence, establishing peace, national unity, and promoting modern Tajikistan on the international stage.
It is a matter of pride that today, throughout the Republic of Tajikistan, the President's Day and the 16th Session of the Supreme Council are celebrated with special grandeur by the proud people of the country.
It should be noted that on December 9, 2015, another page was added to the history of the Tajik nation. The next session of the Majlisi Namoyandagon (House of Representatives) of the Supreme Council of the Republic of Tajikistan adopted the Law of the Republic of Tajikistan “On the Founder of Peace and National Unity — the Leader of the Nation.” The first address of the Leader of the Nation from the historic 16th Session of the Supreme Council of Tajikistan, held on November 19, 1992, at the Arbob Palace in Khujand, was aimed at uniting the nation and bringing Tajikistan out of the civil war.
The Founder of Peace and National Unity — the Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Mr. Emomali Rahmon, as an outstanding political figure, is today recognized both domestically and internationally. Comprehensive peace in Tajikistan is inseparably associated with this great historical and political leader. It was the selflessness, courage, and strong will of the Leader of the Nation that made it possible to hold Tajik peace negotiations during the difficult years of the imposed civil war and the unstable security situation in the region, ultimately leading to the signing of the General Agreement on the Establishment of Peace and National Reconciliation. President Emomali Rahmon has shown the entire world that negotiations, dialogue, and persuasive capacity can resolve any political conflict peacefully and amicably.
With gratitude for independence and patriotism, today we must support the efforts of the Leader of the Nation in the prosperity of the homeland, the preservation of peace and national unity, and respect for national sacred values, and express our appreciation to the wise and farsighted Leader. It is precisely this selflessness, bravery, and noble character in service to the homeland and nation that require us to honor the services of this great man, the Hero of the Nation, as a guide for our own lives across all parts of this blessed land.
