On February 5, 2026, a press conference of the Agency for State Energy Supervision under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan was held, dedicated to summarizing the results of the Agency’s activities for 2025.
The press conference was attended by the leadership of the Agency for State Energy Supervision, a representative of the Executive Office of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, as well as a wide range of media representatives, including the television channels “Tajikistan,” “Safina,” “Jahonamo,” “Bahoriston,” and “Sinamo”; the National Information Agency “Khovar”; information agencies “Asia Plus,” “TASS,” “Sputnik,” and “Avesta”; newspapers and magazines “Jumhuriyat,” “Vremya i Dengi,” “Vremya,” “Ilm va Hayot,” “Navidi Varzish,” “Istiqlol,” and “Nabzi Dushanbe”; radio stations “Tajikistan,” “Sadoi Dushanbe,” “Khovar,” “Ovozi Tojik,” “Farhang,” and “Ozodi”; websites “radiotoj.tj,” “Oila.tj,” and “farah-info.com,” as well as independent journalists.
During the press conference, issues related to the prevention of illegal use of electric energy and overstatement of its consumption, existing problems in electricity metering at pumping stations, digitalization of the electricity control and metering system, monitoring the implementation of projects, regulatory control of temperature standards in heating networks, identification of cases involving the use of mining equipment, awareness-raising activities on the efficient and rational use of electricity, improvement of professional knowledge of employees in the energy sector of organizations and institutions, as well as other sector-related issues were discussed.
