June 26, 2026, Dushanbe. — A solemn ceremony was held at the Agency for State Energy Supervision under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan on the occasion of the adoption of Tajikistan’s new initiative entitled “International Decade for Strengthening Peace for Future Generations, 2027–2036” by the United Nations General Assembly.
In his opening speech, the Director of the Agency, Sorbon Kholmuhammadzoda, congratulated those present on the occasion and emphasized that the adoption of this important international resolution represents another major achievement of the foreign policy of the Republic of Tajikistan and a recognition of the constructive role of the country in promoting peace, stability, dialogue, and mutual understanding on the international stage.
It was noted that the latest initiative of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, the Leader of the Nation, His Excellency Emomali Rahmon, adopted by the United Nations General Assembly, has once again strengthened Tajikistan’s position as a peace-loving, proactive, and responsible member of the international community.
Later, the Deputy Director of the Agency, Behruz Hasan-zoda, stated that the adoption of this historic resolution on the eve of the celebration of National Unity Day is highly symbolic and reflects the international recognition of the peacebuilding experience of the Republic of Tajikistan and the constructive policy of the Leader of the Nation.
This important international achievement is a source of pride for every citizen of Tajikistan and further increases our responsibility in preserving peace, stability, national unity, and the sustainable development of the country.
Subsequently, Bobojon Saidov, Head of the Department for Legal, Information Support, and International Relations of the Agency, delivered a speech on the political and legal significance of the adopted resolution and its role in strengthening the culture of peace, mutual understanding, and international solidarity.
At the end of the ceremony, all employees of the Agency stood up with a strong sense of patriotism and pride in this historic achievement and, waving the State Flag of the Republic of Tajikistan, warmly welcomed the latest initiative of the Leader of the Nation.
