June 25, 2026, Dushanbe. — A ceremonial meeting was held at the State Energy Supervision Agency under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan to mark the 29th anniversary of National Unity Day and the signing of the General Agreement on the Establishment of Peace and National Accord.
The event was opened by the Director of the Agency, Sorbon Kholmuhammadzoda, who congratulated those present on this sacred national holiday.
It was emphasized that National Unity is the greatest historical achievement of the Tajik people. It was attained through the wise and far-sighted policy of the Founder of Peace and National Unity — Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, His Excellency Emomali Rahmon, and has provided a solid foundation for the sustainable development of the state, the strengthening of national independence, and the progress of all spheres of public life.
“Today, the Republic of Tajikistan, in an atmosphere of peace, stability, and national unity, is confidently advancing toward the implementation of the country’s strategic goals, including achieving energy independence, developing the national economy, and improving the living standards of the population. Therefore, preserving and strengthening National Unity, as well as the achievements of the independence period, is the sacred duty of every citizen of the country,” the Director of the Agency stressed.
During the meeting, Mahbuba Kamolova, Editor-in-Chief of Narodnaya Gazeta, and Bobojon Saidov, Head of the Agency’s Department of Legal Support, Information Affairs, and International Relations, delivered presentations on the role of National Unity in strengthening statehood, the rule of law, and the protection of constitutional values.
